About us
The Dutch foundation Plant een Olijfboom which means "Plant an Olive Tree" supports the non violent resistance of Palestinian farmers against the uprooting of their trees and the confiscation of their land by Israel. They raise awareness in the Netherlands and Belgium about the effects of the occupation on Palestinians, farmers in particular. And promotes different travel opportunities for people to see and help the farmers themselves!
Plant een Olijfboom focusses on Dutch speaking individuals in the Netherlands and Belgium, although everybody is welcome to sponsor a tree and join the trips.
Plant een Olijfboom works together with Palestinian organisations to plant the trees and organise the trips.
By planting olive trees together with Palestinian farmers they try to keep alive the hope of a good future.
Vision
Foundation Plant een Olijfboom stands for a just peace in Palestine and Israel with equality for all civilians, including Palestinian refugees.

Programs
• Travel to Palestine: Each year Plant een Olijfboom supports travelers and promotes several trips to Palestine in cooperation with our Palestinian partners, like the Joint Advocacy Initiative of the YMCA & YWCA in Palestine and To Be There. Discover Palestine while planting trees in February, learning about Land Day in March, picking olives in October or celebrating Christmas in December. Each trip consists of learning and doing. You help farmers to harvest olives or plant trees. You'll visit different places and organisations. You will learn a lot in a short time about the reality of life in Palestine.
