Projects:
• Education on sexual abuse: Dels foundation together with the BREAK THE SILENCE Foundation in the United States organized education for 70 children between the ages of 5 to 10 on sexual harassment and abuse. The Children were taught about sex, abuse and Harassment and various parts of their body that we termed don’t touch zones. It is sad to note that most of the children we met had been sexual abused, and were taken through counseling
• Feast of hope projects: Aside donations in various forms to orphanages and needy communities, we had our annual Christmas project which is feast of hope. We believe Christmas must be a happy time for all but unfortunately the needy is usually left out. At Christmas, we go to deprived communities, orphanage homes and spend quality time with the children as well as the aged, gave the children toys, books, food and showed them love etc. We provide children up to the age of 12 with new toys and books, clothing, shoes etc. We also gave needy families or the aged a large food hamper full of everyday food items including a few extra luxuries to help them enjoy the Christmas holidays.
• Lending a hand- donations: Under our lending a hand project we support children and the aged from education to health screening and donations. Different people donate various forms of items to our outfit from individuals groups and organizations, which help us to reach out to the less privileged as well as people who need it the most. We receive intermittent donations as and when, which includes items such as food, water, clothing, books, shoes, playing items and sometimes money. These items are sent to people in the rural communities and urban slums.
• Pride of being a girl projects: Through our Pride of Being a Girl project we have the conferences as well as school tours. The project started in 2015, Dels foundation has empowered over 300 young girls and harnessed their potentials to be change agents in their communities, The Adolescent girl is intelligent, bold and should be empowered to make impacts. This project seeks to harness and build the potential of the adolescent girl leading her to an independent womanhood, the love for herself as well as empowering her to take decisions and take up leadership positions. We educate these girls using the appreciate enquiry method where they are thought comprehensive sexuality education, SRHR and menstrual Hygiene.
• Donations4Hope: Donations4Hope seeks to reach out to the needy child in slums and deprived communities across Ghana. We are contributing to ending child poverty with regards to the SDG 1,2,3,4. A child needs to have access to certain basic amenities but that is not the case for most children in these communities. We therefore invite you to join us by donating resources such us clothes, shoes, sanitary pads, school bags and money to help us reach out to these children.
