About us
Agora Partnerships, founded in 2005, is a global community of entrepreneurs, investors, mentors, and individuals dedicated to using the power of business to effect positive change in their communities.
Our mission is to accelerate the success of early-stage impact entrepreneurs who share our community´s commitment to solving social and environmental challenges through business.
Our vision is of a world where all entrepreneurs incorporate social and environmental impact into the very design of their businesses; entrepreneurs have access to the infrastructure, resources, and networks they need to success; and where investors will actively seek out those businesses that create maximum impact for society.
We work only with early-stage entrepreneurs where the right kind of support can significantly accelerate their ability to create impact. Our aim is to help build a more just, sustainable world primarily through our Impact Accelerator program. In addition to the Accelerator, Agora also supports a range of other field-building initiatives that provide support to Latin American entrepreneurs: access to technical support, professional seminars, mentoring, training, and loans.
Our 6-month Accelerator program connects participating entrepreneurs with the knowledge, networks, and financial capital they need to grow. Through four tailored modules, the program provides: leadership development, strategy consulting, and investor readiness preparation (human capital); matchmaking, mentorship, and deal closing support (social capital); and financial support. We deliver our services through one-on-one consulting, webinars, and conferences.
Our Model: Human Potential + Capital = Impact
Culture and ecosystem development are key to long-term change. So we try to carve out our own circle of positive, optimistic culture — our own social capital – and then aggressively defend it against status quo forces. We hope to build long term relationships with entrepreneurs and, through their success, build a powerful, self re-enforcing community that can drive a more sustainable and equitable capitalism for the 21st century.
We find and support entrepreneurs who represent society´s greatest chance to convert opportunity into economic and social impact.
We use technology, social and professional networks, and market signaling to connect entrepreneurs with the social, human, and financial capital they need to create a more sustainable world. We believe in collaboration and transparency and that belief is reflected in everything we have done since we started.
