About us
Environmentalist Foundation of India (E.F.I) is a registered not for profit trust. Founded in 2007 by Arun Krishnamurthy. E.F.I is a wildlife conservation and habitat restoration group, which focuses on real-time and result oriented conservation efforts.
Most of India’s freshwater bodies are polluted/contaminated due to human activity. E.F.I focuses on scientific revival of these freshwater bodies through a community based collaborative conservation effort. We volunteer for India & her Environment. E.F.I works out of 14 Indian states of Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Jammu & Kashmir, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Puducherry, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and Telangana. Covering prominent cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Kochi etc… and several villages in these states.
Mission
To volunteer for India & her environment through result oriented and real time projects
Vision
E.F.I. strives to create a global community who not only takes care of the environment, but also loves it. We hope that this Earth will one day be a sanctuary for all life to thrive equally. In every project that E.F.I. participates, we desire to show that environmental change is possible with immediate and long-lasting impact.
Goals:
• Organize community-based volunteer efforts to clean up natural ecosystems such as lakes/ponds/rivers and forests.
• Educate the general public about environmental threats and motivate for change.
• Open dialogue about environmental problems and solutions.
• Revive an Indian sense of love and value for natural ecosystems.
