Western Cameroonian Association (WESTCA)

About us

Western Cameroonian Association (WESTCA) is a group of young Cameroonian over 18 years of age, from great West region (Nothwest, Southwest, and West) mostly based in the UK. WestCA was founded by Aurolle Suzy Djomako and her friend Pamela Poungoue tchetou after been exacerbated by many youth groups in London and Europe that they were part of and did not align with their values.

What we do?
We aim to gather all young Western Cameroonian in the UK and around the world that identifie themselves with our mission.
Our mission is to promote our culture, values and traditions, support one another in social or financial aspect of our lives, collaborate for business purposes and give back through fundraising and cultural activities to our home region.
Where do we meet?
We gather every last Saturday of the month in alphabetical rotational basis in our members residential home.

How do we intend to meet our objectives?
• We intend to meet our objectives through continuous promotion of our culture's, values and traditions amongs ourselves and to the rest of the world.
• We have a Facebook and YouTube page where we market, promote, educate and plan to have interactive activities.
• We have a whatssap group that we have decided to open to friend, prospective members, volunteer and mentors.
• We have a charity side of the group with two project currently processing with the funds collected at WestCA festival 2019 and WestCA festival 2022.
• We are planning to have a website where our activities will take place after registering as a CIO (Charitable Incorporated Organisation).

What have we accomplished so far?
• Maintain the association going even through COVID-19 with digital meetings.
• Organised two western Cameroonian festivals
• Have democratically managed the association
• We have managed to welcome babies and supported members through grieving period of their life.
• Improve in our resilience, collaboration and teamwork skills
• Celebrate the members children every end of the year with WestCA kids Xmas presents.

Aurolle Suzy Djomako is one of the Founders and Chairwoman of Western Cameroonian Association (WESTCA).

For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
