About us
Tumaini Initiative Uganda (TIU) is a registered non-profit organization founded by Timothy Ategeka.
The Organization aims to alleviate Uganda from its suffering children by ensuring that they are provided with institutional care, protection, basic needs, health care and an education. The Organization currently has over 700 children based in the slum of Kisenyi, Kampala and the stories of these children are worth telling so that we can be able to give them hope and a better future.
Tumaini Initiative Uganda works hard every day to provide homeless, abused, and abandoned children in Uganda with the hope of a better tomorrow. These kids were found living on the streets in slums. They were starving, abused, unable to receive basic education and medical care. That's where we come in.
We take these children and we provide them with a roof over their heads. We put food in their bellies. Through TIU, they are able to attend schools and receive medical care. They are given the tools necessary to live happily. We give them a family when no others will. With your help, we can give them the best care possible. We can promise them a better tomorrow.
Timothy Ategeka is the Founder of Tumaini Initiative Uganda (TIU).
