About us

Future Stars Academy (FSA) believes in the power of sports. We are a non-profit organisation focusing on children, youth and sports (mainly football) with the aim to empower them and enhance their physical and mental health.
The Future Stars Academy is operating in Arusha and Moshi, Tanzania. We provide football training and competition (including attending tournaments) giving disadvantaged children from 6 to 20 years. Furthermore, we actively engage with local communities and support community development through various types of sports activities

Our programs:
• Football Academy: We provide football training and competition (including attending tournaments) giving disadvantaged children from 6 to 20 years the opportunity to enjoy football, play and develop mentally and physically through the game Parallel to the football activities, the kids will follow and educational curriculum that is given in small courses teaching them in different subjects. Our football academy activities: Providing weekly football trainings; Participation in different tournaments and leagues locally and Internationally; Organizing our annual East African Chipkizi Cup & Talent Search; Organizing fun events (sports camps), The African Chipkizi Cup is the largest East African youth & grassroots football tournament in Africa.
• Community Development: We actively engage with local communities and support community development through various types of sports activities. This varies from running school leagues, health and sports empowerment, competitions, attitude training and Training Trainers in the community. We believe that people together can learn from each other and create new initiatives to help their community in different ways. Our community building activities: Special needs program (trainings youth with a mental or physical disability; Extracurricular empowerment activities (clinics, workshops, and festivals); Running school leagues for both boys and girls; TOT (Training of Trainers/coaches) in the community; Sponsoring children who otherwise would not have been able to be enrolled at Future Stars Academy
• Future Talent Programme: In our Future Talent Programme we promote talented players via linkages with professional clubs and support children and youth in FSA support children and youth in FSA to access education and employment through partnerships such as Jobortunity Training, The Local Government, and through our own Juniour Coaches Training Programme. Our Future Talent program activities: Educational program for adolescents (Junior coaching, referee, and first-aid course); Life skills program (in collaboration with partnering organization Jobortuntity); Offering opportunities for scouting; Offering opportunities for scholarships; Mentoring towards going back to school.
• Gender equality: Future Stars Academy believes that people of all genders should have equal rights, responsibilities and opportunities and we stand firm against gender discrimination. As gender equality remains a challenge, we work towards educating Future Stars Academy’s girls and young women about gender equality, through football and education. Our Gender Equality activities: Gender Equality program at a secondary school for Maasai girls; Women equality activities (workshops, festivals); Football 3 Workshops and Clinics; Women & Girls only tournament
