About us
MOONFLOWER AUTISM FOUNDATION
Moonflower Autism Foundation was formed by a group of dedicated and well-trained parents of individuals with autism on 23rd December 2022.
The aims and objectives of the foundation are training and education, empowerment and rehabilitation of individuals with autism.
Moonflower Autism Foundation is registered as a nonprofit, non political, voluntary organization with the Social Service Department under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Peoples Republic of Bangladesh. Registration No Dha-10027, Dated-19.11.2023.
VISION
Create an inclusive autism friendly society and sustainable environment to ensure the highest quality of life.
MISSION
•Improve quality of life by providing quality training & education, skill development, and facilitating other necessary services to individuals with autism, their parents, caregivers, teachers and other relevant persons.
•Implement comprehensive integrated development plan with rehabilitation and residential center embracing scientific research and technology for individuals with autism.
•Uphold rights of special persons with autism through Advocacy, Policy reforms and Awareness program.
PRESENT ACTIVITIES
1.MOONFLOWER SCHOOL FOR AUTISM:
Provides special education and training to individuals with autism. There is a highly structured classroom setting with all modern amenities and trained teachers and therapists.
There are also vocational and adult activities for the older persons with autism.
2.OTHER ACTIVITIES
•Assessment, evaluation and development plan
•Package program
•Home rehabilitation program
•Occupational and sensory integration therapy, speech and language therapy and other scientific intervention
•Peer group activity, Self-help and advocacy
•Training teachers, parents, caregivers and other relevant persons.
•Organizing various events
•Seminars, workshops and conferences
•Awareness raising program
•Workshops, trainings for for parents, teachers, caregivers and professionals
•Networking with national and international organizations working with autism
•Students’ sponsorship
Zakat Fund for poor students.
