About us
NABA PRABHAT CHILDREN HOME ( নৱ প্ৰভাত শিশুগৃহ ) is an orphanage located in the Assamese village of Ketekibari, in the district of Tezpur. It was founded on February 3rd, 2006, by Mrs. Trishna Mani Laskar and the late Bidyut Saikia. Since its founding, NABA PRABHAT has taken care of all of the orphan childrens basic necessities, formal schooling, and health checkup programs for the girl children who are orphans.
Our Children
There are approximately 20 girl children residing in our orphanage, all of whom are accommodated in a single dormitory. The age range of these children spans from 6 to 19 years. The provision of their boarding and lodging is meticulously managed. In addition to this, we also offer them education, a healthy environment, a cultural society, and various other resources to facilitate their physical and psychological development. These children attend government schools for their academic studies. Their exceptional talent in singing and classical dancing is truly commendable. Moreover, they are also taught fine arts, modern music, yoga, and other vocational skills, which are organized and supported by Naba Prabhat, as well as the generous public of Tezpur and Assam. The younger children are taught nursery rhymes and the alphabet.
For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
