Solidarity for Children in Africa and the World

About us

ESAM (Enfants Solidaires d´Afrique et du Monde), was founded in 1987 and is one of the most important non-governmental organizations with an international vocation in Benin working against abuse and violence against children, young people and women.

Main objectives are:
• Promoting human rights and child rights;
• Support and promote the development of women and especially girls' education;
• Promote the emergence and strengthening of civil society through good governance;
• Support local development initiatives;
• Strengthen the capacity of NGOs and local associations for better child protection;
• Encourage and promote volunteerism.

Several projects are in progress:
• committees against torture and for protection of the children were set up,
• the House of the Childhood was born in Mono,
• a first module of 3 classes,
• a program of follow-up of the young people imprisoned in Cotonou is also active.
• New projects are in construction.

Norbert Fanou-Ako is the Director of the NGO "Enfants Solidaires d´Afrique et du Monde"(ESAM).

For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
