About us
Ecotrackers is a non-profit organization that works with native communities from the Andes, the Pacific Coastal Regions, and the Amazon Rain Forests to create training centers in indigenous communities and public protected areas with regards to health and public services in conjunction with other popular organizations in which volunteers, students and specialists from all over the world can learn how to preserve the biodiversity and the cultural diversity trough helping poor people.
The training starts with the vision of learning Spanish, so that the student can better understand Latin America as a great and special territory of bio and cultural diversity and resistance inside the occidental world. We then teach the student about the region's nature, the ancient cultures, the hospital work, the schools, the farms, the protected areas, etc. through actually living and helping in the communities. The final work that we create together is an informational databank on the Internet and a world network of support.
One of our goals is the development of intelligent tourism and community-based tourism.
We also work with reforestation projects, educational expeditions, social activities, teaching, and developing health projects.
Spanish classes: Ecotrackers has been teaching Spanish since 1998. We offer Spanish classes for travelers, Spanish classes focused on medical terminology, Spanish classes focused on nature preservation terminology, and classes in other various native languages to help better understand the indigenous and ancient cultures.
