Help for children in distress

Our goal is a "terre des hommes", a "world of humanity." We help street children, abandoned and working children, take care of the victims of war and violence and provide for the training of children. We help boys and girls whose families have died from AIDS and care of the conservation of biological and cultural diversity and the protection of discriminated groups.
terre des hommes Germany e. V. was founded in 1967 by concerned citizens to help seriously injured children from the Vietnam War. The association is independent of governments, businesses, religious groups and political parties and support around 450 partner projects for needy children in 34 countries in Africa, Latin America and Asia as well as in Germany.
terre des hommes will not send aid workers, but support local initiatives. Our local partners build schools and child protection centers. terre des hommes directs his work consistently to children's rights. In Germany, people engage volunteers in 146 places.

In 147 towns and communities of the Federal Republic of Germany, voluntary collaborators of terre des hommes can inform about the life conditions of children and the work of project partners, organize children's parties, collections of donations and signatures or participate in protest actions.
