Sobre nosotros
Kick It Out is a registered charity, established in 1997 and it is football's equality and inclusion campaign.
Kick It Out works throughout the football, educational and community sectors to challenge discrimination, encourage inclusive practices and work for positive change.
The campaign is supported and funded by the game's governing bodies, including founding body the Professional Footballers Association (PFA), the Premier League and The Football Association.
Kick It Out plays a leading role in the Football Against Racism in Europe (FARE) network and has been cited as an example of good practice by the European governing body UEFA, the world governing body FIFA, the Council of Europe, the European Commission, European parliamentarians and the British Council.
Activities
• Central to Kick It Out's strategy is the development of partnerships that bring together footballing organisations with communities to work in partnership on problems of exclusion and discrimination.
• Kick It Out educational work: For a number of years, Kick It Out has been drawing on the appeal of football to help educate young people about the effects of racism on both society and individuals.
• At Kick It Out, we work as closely with grassroots clubs and community organisations as with professional clubs and want to build up closer relationships and networks with you in the future. Kick It Out is able to provide a range of support to help capacity build community groups, including advice and guidance on funding applications and help providing links to more established footballing organisations
• The scope and scale of Kick It Out’s work has shifted with the footballing landscape, and matters concerning gender, sexual orientation, religion and disability are now as much a part of the campaign’s remit as race and skin colour were back in 1993. This is reflected in the Equality Standard, a framework devised for clubs to help with their equality and diversity practices. The Equality Standard for Professional Clubs is a progression from the Racial Equality Standard, which was established by Kick It Out in 2004. The Equality Standard encompasses all six areas of diversity and aims to ensure that individuals are not discriminated against on the grounds of any of Race, Religion, Age, Gender, Disability and Sexual Orientation.
• Kick It Out operates a reporting line that can be used to make reports of discrimination, ensure effective action is taken and help you raise issues of concern.
