Sobre nosotros

Artists Project Earth (APE) is a UK registered charity which recruits internationally known musicians and artists through albums, concerts, art exhibitions and art related projects to raise awareness of climate change and funds for campaigns and disaster relief.

APE, founded in 2004, aims to help create a better world by bringing the power of music and the arts to 21st century challenges.

APE in collaboration with international musicians such as Coldplay, U2, Bob Dylan, Gorillaz, Arctic Monkeys, Dizzee Rascal, Green Day, Amy Winehouse, The Killers, Rolling Stones and many others, has produced three fundraising albums to date:
• Rhythms Del Mundo: Cuba
• RDM: Classics
• RDM: Revival
• and soon to be released, RDM: Africa

Profits from sales of the albums go to support projects all around the world that are helping to mitigate, adapt to and raise awareness of, climate change, such as:
• reforestation initiatives in Africa and Brazil
• wetland conservation in Uganda
• No Tar Sands campaigns
• a Special Award for the global Transition Towns movement
• and in times of need, to help alleviate those suffering from natural disasters.

We support effective projects and awareness raising initiatives to combat climate change, and raise funds for natural disaster relief.
To date, APE has supported over 300 projects globally.

APE Projects
These projects are multi-faceted and work in many different ways to raise awareness of the issues surrounding climate change and to help mitigate carbon emissions: from re-growing coral reefs in the tropics to the development of tree nurseries in Brazil; from supporting Plane Stupid and other climate activists in their mission to tackle institutional inertia to creating legislation to protect the global environment. APE is committed to supporting people from across the globe who believe a better world is possible - and who are actively working towards that goal.

A founding principle of APE is to help those suffering from natural disasters, and we are working with NGOs in affected areas so that we can provide direct support where it is needed most. We have recently supported projects in the Philippines, Indonesia, Haiti and Chile - to help aid their recovery from hurricanes, earthquakes and other natural disasters. When other NGOs and charities have gone, APE hopes to remain a long-term partner, building resilience and sustainable redevelopment in these affected regions.

Lorna Howarth is the Development Director of APE.

For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
