Sobre nosotros
The KRASS e.V. (The KRASS Association) is a program of the Culture for Children Foundation. The administrative head office is KRASS e.V. (Düsseldorf). It was founded in Düsseldorf on October 16, 2009. Since KRASS e.V. is recognized as an NGO, just like the Culture for Children Foundation, all of our activities are nonprofit. In addition to its headquarters, the KRASS association is present throughout locations worldwide.
KRASS NGO gives children and young people perspectives! Education is the key to social participation and personal future prospects in our society. With cultural projects KRASS e.V. particularly supports children and youngsters who are disadvantaged socioeconomically at different levels of their path.
Our Vision
We want to enable in all regions of this world free and easy access to Art and culture. We believe that learning about art and being creative helps children to build a positive future for themselves.
Our commitment to cultural education:
• We are committed to ensuring that all young people – with and without migration background – have success on their individual path of education.
• We are the contact person and networker for all who want to get involved in cultural education.
• We support educational and youth welfare programs as well as parents in their educational tasks and, together with them, focus the objectives of the educational support.
• We are flexible and open to new project approaches and let our creativity run freely, so support given wherever needed.
• We bundle our competences, creativity, experiences and qualifications and offer them free of charge to promote cultural education.
Projects:
• In our cultural education projects, we primarily work together with private and public educational institutions and youth leisure facilities.
• School projects: This includes extracurricular and supplementary projects to promote artistic and creative competences. The following projects are currently being held in cooperation with different schools:
• Holiday and leisure projects: Projects with the aim to promote self-confidence, creativity or learn how to deal with the social environment as well as art and music activities.
• Culture is diversity: People from different countries bring new cultural influences to our country. To understand diversity as an opportunity for all also means the sharpening of intercultural awareness by dealing with different cultures. KRASS goes into the refugee housing and organizes integration workshops with the children in museums and thus promotes the intercultural dialogue and allows both the sensory experience of different cultures as well as an artistic discussion with them.
• Promotion of talents: KRASS also supports talented young people with his work. Thanks to targeted sponsors, we are able to offer regularly talented young scholarships in art and culture.
• Needs-based individual case studies: An important part of our work is the fast and appropriate support of individual persons, contact points for children and youngsters or schools, which address us with their individual concerns. This includes various workshops and training courses that we either organize ourselves or offer in cooperation with other cultural providers.
