Sobre nosotros

Through our charitable organization, Phoenix Foundation e.V., we strive to provide underprivileged children and youth, locally and globally, better means of access to education and a higher quality of life. Our initiative, founded in 2016, focuses on education, development and welfare of children and youth.

The goal of Phoenix Foundation is to improve the chances for the weakest of society.

Projects:
• Phoenix Orphanage Organization: Since 2014, Phoenix Orphanage Organization has been taking care of neglected and vulnerable children in Zigoti, a small town of approximately 6000 inhabitants in the center of Uganda. Their goal is to provide these children with a home, food, medical care, and access to an education, since their parents have died, disappeared, or are too sick or poor to do so themselves. Currently 49 children between the ages of 4 and 17 are being supported by the NGO – 28 girls and 21 boys.
• Zeltschule e.V.: 200.000 Syrian children are living in refugee camps in the Lebanese Bekaa-Valley, without a chance of attending school. Instead of learning how to read and write, many have to work in the fields for many hours of the day. That is the reason why beginning of 2016, the Munich-born Jaqueline Flory partnered with the teachers and parents of Tumblinger Elementary School and founded the organization Zeltschule e.V. ("Tent School" ) The motivating idea is as simple as it is captivating: The girls and boys are to be taught by local teachers in basic tent schools right inside of the camps. And in order to make up for the loss in labor force, the organization supports the parents with food and water. Today, about 800 children are receiving daily lessons in five such tent schools. By the end of the year, that number should reach 1000. We were immediately impressed by this initiative and have decided to build the Phoenix Tent School in one of the refugee camps in the Bekaa-Valley, and finance it for at least two to three years. On July 15th "our" school opened its doors. 180 to 200 children are currently attending this new school.
• Ghettokids - Soziale Projekte e.V.: Many children right in front of our door step live an unnoticed life with little to no perspective for the future. Susanne Korbmacher, founder of the Munich based non-profit organization ghettokids - Soziale Projekte e.V., tries to make them visible. Since more than 20 years she works with children and young adults from Turkey, Greece, Albania and the Kosovo, who often have learning difficulties, are maladjusted or even violent due to their personal fate. Setting up an extraordinary program the organization works against the emotional and social collapse of those young people. The Phoenix Foundation wants to support the work of ghettokids on a regular basis. To begin with we funded an educational trip for students from seventh to ninth grade at the Sonderpädagogischen Förderzentrums München West (SFZ) in July.
• Girls´ Education Program: To address the education gap in the village of Bhikamkor, Rajasthan, the Institute for Philantropy and Huminitarian Development (IPHD), a non-profit organization founded in 2013, introduced the Girls´ Education Program (GEP) in 2016. The program, created by the IPHD founder and Rajasthan native Madhu Vaishnav aims to improve girls´ access to high-quality education by sponsoring them to go to school and involving the community in a multi-pronged approach of advocacy, sponsorship and follow-up. As we believe in the power of girls´ education and the enforcement of womens´ rights, we decided to fund the Girls Education Program from May 2018 for one year with 2,800 Euros.
