Sobre nosotros
The Mukta Nepal association arose out of the commitment of a single student and was founded on October 29, 2014.
We are primarily committed to ensuring that the children from Kharipati, Subidanagar (a village between Bhaktapur and Nargarkot) have the opportunity to attend school.
Incomes in Nepal are so low for many people that they have barely enough to buy food and clothing. Many families can not afford medical care either. So we also work to meet the basic needs of families.
Our work
• Most of the money goes into children's education. One school year at the Quality English Secondary School (www.quess.edu.np) costs, for example, an average of 350 euros per child. This includes the annual fee, monthly fees, examination fees, daily lunch, textbooks, exercise books and school uniforms.
• In the past, if enough money had come in, we have also been able to buy food and medicines to stock up for the use of destitute villagers.
• In addition to financial donations, we have also collected donations in kind, such as children's clothing, pens, backpacks, shoes, etc., and taken them to the village of Kharipati to distribute among the children.
• Mukta Nepal wants to enable more children from Kharipati to attend school and ensure that the basic needs of the villagers (food, clothing, medical care) are met.
• Since the earthquake in Nepal did not spare Kharipati, we had to react as an organisation and distribute donations. We have constant contact with our friends and our local NGO, who accept the donations, urgently buying and distributing what is needed.
• The reconstruction of the village is still an important goal for us. Thanks to the numerous donations, we have been able to build 48 new houses in Kharipati and thus give the families back a home.
• Rebuilding a school in the Kavre area that was destroyed by the earthquake.
• Construction of a second school which, after completion in 2019, will be able to accommodate more than 750 pupils.
