Health Concern Initiative (HCI) is a non political, non profit making and incorporated organization with a healthy facility having a record of providing quality integrated health services free of charge to the communities countrywide.
HCI is a NGO that collaborates with communities in creating awareness, prevention & treatment of illnesses such as cervical cancer, HIV/AIDS,STIs &STDs,
HCI outreaches communities in activities like; Hepatitis B screening, cervical cancer screening, HPV vaccination and HIV testing and counseling.
Our vision is to aid communities realise the existence of various infections around them and promote every person’s right free from illnesses.
Our mission is to create immune communities and promote every person’s right to proper medical services through mass awareness, early diagnosis, sensitisation, monitoring as well as eradication of the possible causes.
Activities:
• HCI team with Interns take on the lead in conducting a survey about cervical cancer and its awareness in communities
• Camps at Nansana masitoowa and Nakuule, it was a great success after completion. Mass awareness, sensitization and screening
• Helping the girl child understand the basic concepts of her reproductive health.
• Meeting with Path 4 Health team to brainstorm innovations in public health and how to improve lives of youths in Uganda.
• Youth Power Uganda together with Health Concern Initiative joined hands to provide free health services in each and every part of Uganda
• Countrywide campaign on creating an awareness of the non communicable diseases: Health Concern Initiative is on a campaign to cub the risk factors or causes of Non Communicable Diseases in our communities. Enough is enough to smoking, alcoholism, physical inactivity.
For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
