Mary Sewuese Ugbaa started Angel Support Foundation (ASF) in 2013. ASF is a non-profit charitable foundation structured as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) with a mandate to create awareness in the area of environment and all matters connected therewith (paying particular attention to women, children and youth), promote gender equality and implement activities in the area of peace building

Aim and Objectives
• To support the less privileged in the society (orphans/widows) with sustainable livelihood and entrepreneurship opportunities.
• To contribute to the economic, social and civil empowerment of women and youth (adolescent girls)
• To promote sound ecological community based development solutions
• To strengthen resilience, humanitarian response and recovery of vulnerable people to conflict and disasters.
• To empower women/youths with vocational training and skill acquisition programmes.
• To collaborate with agencies and organizations to support the rehabilitation of drug addicts and destitute through entrepreneurial skills and Vocational training.

• Community Based field activities involving advocacy, sensitization and mobilization of rural communities.

Activities:
• Climate Change Children Awareness Campaign: The issue of climate change and it’s attending effects no longer being news, our organization has been unrelenting in spreading awareness through her climate change awareness campaign done in primary and secondary schools whereafter the environmental and climate change clubs are formed in each school. The clubs and her members have been doing pretty well.
• Environmental monitoring training for mining and extraction impacted communities in Benue State
• Coalitions/ Networks
• Growing Women (G-Women) Project: G-Women project is an empowerment scheme that has been set up by ASF for indigent women as an enabling background for them to start up small scale businesses, with adequate monitoring and support from our team to ensure sustainability. This the organization does by mapping out marginalized communities or settlements and selecting women who will benefit from the scheme. The process is guided by conducting pre-loan trainings, loan disbursement and monitoring by ASF team.
