Sobre nosotros

Since 2012 we, Carolin Hoffmann and Larissa Zwingel, have been committed to the children and learning centre “Home for Hope” in Ghana with almost 300 benefitting children
In 2014 we founded the charitable foundation“Home for Hope” parallel to being university students. The foundation is the roof of this project, and since then we have been acting voluntarily as the board of directors and coordinating the project work in Germany and locally in close cooperation with our project director and other 25 local employees in Ghana. Look also at https://www.instagram.com/hfh_ghana/?hl=de . The foundation is administered pro bono by DT Deutsche Stiftungstreuhand.
The goals are to support the children in their individual strengths and to enable each of them to have an independent future
The project is financed exclusively by donations and grants. Due to the fact that we and our network of supporters work on a voluntary basis in Germany, these funds arrive almost completely in Ghana.

Our Vision
• Our goal is to sustainably improve the living conditions of disadvantaged children in Ghana.
• For this we create spaces in which children and young people can freely develop and unfold their abilities.
• This strengthens children and young people so that they can actively shape their living environment and their future.
• The focus is on a good and individual education and training of the children.
• As a result, we want to make a contribution to Ghana’s ability to use its own potential.

The project:
The Children and Learning Centre “Home for Hope” is located in the small village of Gomoa Tarkwa in southern Ghana, about two hours from the capital Accra. The centre consists of two components:
• Orphanage: There are currently 35 children between the ages of 5 and 17 living in the orphanage.
• Home for Hope Preparatory School: After a construction period of just under a year, it was opened in 2016 and now offers space for 250 pupils, including the 40 children who live in the orphanage. The school is continuously being expanded and further developed.

For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
