The Cultural Centre IÊALEMBRASIL is a non-profit association that seeks to be an organ of international understanding and education, with the aim of creating a more tolerant society. In order to achieve this, the association specifically promotes and organizes art and culture as a means of exchange between different cultures and world views.

For the specific organization of the association’s work, this means, among other things:
• Holding and performing capoeira rodas (a combination of dance and martial arts) free of charge. Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian martial dance that has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2014 and has been an expression of resistance from the beginning and remains so to this day. The rodas (circles of spectators) serve to get to know the culture and also to participate.
• The organization of round tables and workshops related to Afro-Brazilian expressions
• The organization of encounters for cultural exchange between people from Brazil, Germany and Africa
• The networking of groups through the organization of workshops, lectures and discussion rounds to strengthen anti-discriminatory work and to promote culture, tolerance and international understanding
• Publishing a free magazine as another means of cultural exchange

The leitmotif of all events as well as the club magazine is the creation of an open and tolerant world in which racism and any other form of discrimination has no place.
