Sobre nosotros

The Women's Integration Association, Amerling House was founded in 1997, in the knowledge that there are too few easily accessible opportunities for education and advice, especially for socially disadvantaged migrant women and their children.

That is why our association campaigns chiefly for the integration of socially disadvantaged women from various cultural and language backgrounds.

Aims:
• Improvement in social skills
• Cross-cultural exchange
• Low-threshold, holistic support

What we provide:
• Courses in German and basic education
• Advice: we offer counselling interviews and, in cases of difficult life situations, also supportive monitoring. If necessary, we accompany the women to the appropriate specialist institutions. The most frequent questions we get asked relate to coping with official channels, opportunities for further education, social and marriage problems, problems at the workplace or in finding work, health problems etc. .
• Information events and workshops on subjects relating to women's and family problems are held on a regular basis in Amerling House. We invite guest speakers who are experts in their field.
• A crèche is available during the courses, events and exams.
• Film shows: "Café Cinema“ project
• Festivals: cultural exchange instead of tolerance
• Internet access
• Austrian German Diploma (ÖSD): Examination to test knowledge of German at levels A2 and B1.

Gül Sanli is the project leader of the Women's Integration Association.

On request we can offer other net participants advice, give a presentation, and provide up-to-date information and contacts in the field of our work.
