Sobre nosotros
Cagintua (Campaign for Government of International Unity in Africa) was founded by refugees in Belzig, Germany in 2007 to raise awareness about what (irregular) flight from one's homeland means, in particular what burdens and dangers it can entail.
The association is largely committed to eliminating the causes of flight and creating perspectives in Africa.
The association works with other organizations that are concerned with development in Africa, especially the development of democracy.
The association tries to show people in Africa other ways to get out of hardship.
Projects:
• Campaign Against Human Trafficking
• Seminar: Youth against Violence and Terrorism
• Project SAMIDIA - Safe Migration Dialogue: The objectives of this project are: to publish an informative video that informs young people about the dangers of travelling without valid documents and to inform young people about legal migration routes.
• Refugee Radio Potsdam
• Strengthening refugees against discrimination (SGdG) We have held eight workshops in Potsdam and Bad Belzig.
• Oko Wa: Oko Wa is a place where perspectives are created for the locals through work in the permaculture garden.
• 6th African Culture and Democratic Dialogue: The 6th African Culture and Democratic Dialogue will give people from the Global South and the Global North the opportunity to connect, discuss and exchange ideas. We will talk about various current projects and the creation of hopeful perspectives for refugees in Brandenburg, Germany and for young people in Africa.
On request we can offer other net participants advice, give a presentation, and provide up-to-date information and contacts in the field of our work.
