Sobre nosotros
Life-Giving Forest eV, founded in 2011, supports people in the Philippines who have few material possessions but still want to get involved in environmental issues. We are not tied to any party or denomination and are committed to a just world out of personal conviction and passion.
As an association with around 20 active members, we do most of the work and administration on a voluntary basis. This is how we ensure that donations go where they really make a difference. Peter Hämmerle's many years of experience in development cooperation in the Philippines and the dynamic approach of us young association members make our heart projects what they are: unique, lively and worth supporting.
Our Vision
We see a world in which all people can meet their needs through far-sighted and respectful interaction with nature.
Our goals are
• the economic and social integration of people with disabilities,
• the creation of sustainable livelihoods through agroforestry products,
• the reforestation of forests for biodiversity and nature conservation as well
• Climate protection through the use of renewable energies.
What we do
Life-Giving Forest eV plants and sustainably maintains tropical mixed forests with people with disabilities in the Philippines. We create long-term livelihoods from forests, organic gardens and renewable energies.
Our local partners are cooperatives of people with disabilities and the non-profit FTI Foundation in the Philippines. Together we develop the projects and the respective needs. For example, we provide start-up funding for materials and inclusive jobs. On site we support the groups in purchasing, planting and maintaining areas, as well as in setting up the necessary infrastructure and marketing the products from the organic gardens.
