Simukaupenye Integrated Youth Academy (SIYA) is a locally driven organization, which aims to employ empowered and motivated youth from the local communities. SIYA intends to promote youth and community development through sport and arts. We value voluntarism, youth leadership and innovation.
Our vision
SIYA is devoted to promote a healthy, pro-active and empowered youth population effectively engaging and meaningfully participating in sustainable development.
Projects:
• Condom Boy Initiative: In collaboration with the AIDS Healthcare Foundation, SIYA proudly presents the Condom Boy Initiative, a revolutionary product designed to revolutionize access to condoms. Inspired by the convenience of on-demand services like food delivery, Condom Boy aims to make obtaining condoms as easy as ordering a pizza. #CondomBoy #InnovationInHealth #Empowerment #SexualHealthRevolution
• Incubation Labs for Positive Youth Engagement: Sponsored by the Citizen Engagement for Accountability Activity (CEAA), an organization funded by the United States Agency for international Development (USAID). The project's aim is to develop youth with competitive skills and knowledge in civic leadership, advocacy, and entrepreneurship through training, mentorship, and technical support from local and international civic and business leaders.
• Arts and Crafting Youth Friendly Center: The Integrated Youth Innovation Hub is a model which has been tried and yielded results and transformed the lives of young people in Shamva District since 2021. A collaborative space and platform designed by SIYA to foster creativity, entrepreneurship, and innovation among young people below 35 years, it serves as a center where young individuals can access resources, tools, mentorship, and networking opportunities to develop and implement their innovative ideas. It currently constitutes a ICT Hub, Sewing Hub, Confectionery Hub, Village Studio, Conference Gazebo and a Co-Working Space.
Wellington Bakaimani is the Founder – Director of Simukaupenye Integrated Youth Academy (SIYA).
