Sobre nosotros
Jugend- & Kulturprojekt e.V. is a not-for-profit and non-governmental association, located in Dresden, Germany. Jugend- & Kulturprojekt e.V. was established in August 2004, and its main aim is to design, organize, implement and monitor international projects in the field of culture and art. Jugend- & Kulturprojekt e.V. promotes cultural exchange whilst also fostering young people´s and adults´ soft and professional skills using non-formal learning methods.
The association provides opportunities to people over 18 years old to participate in international training courses, seminars, youth exchanges, conferences, volunteer work and cultural events in Dresden and abroad. The association has partners all over Europe and emphasizes the EU´s history, politics and society with the aim to raise EU awareness and promote EU citizenship.
Jugend- & Kulturprojekt e.V. provides also opportunities to young people for vocational education and training. Young people, students and young professionals at entry level are welcome to apply for a traineeship, internship and European Voluntary Service – EVS.
Projects
Because of the multicultural composition of the groups, the acceptance of other cultures is increased and the ability of intercultural communication is fostered. The participants reduce prejudices, exchange knowledge about their home countries and learn how to deal with challenges together in a constructive way.
• Remember The Past - Building the Future: After seven decades since the end of WWII and the bombing of Dresden in 1945, Remembering the Past - Building the Future project seeks to reflect on the aftermath of WWII and more specifically on causes of totalitarian regimes such as Nazism that led to the Holocaust, Fascism, Stalinism and totalitarian communist regimes. In addition, the project aspires to commemorate the victims of crimes committed during WWII and totalitarian regimes by visiting commemoration monuments and places.
• Urban Art Ventures: This project seeks to reactivate and revitalise urban spaces of Thessaloniki through street art and cultural activities and give to the local people and the international participants, a chance to explore the possibilities of engagement in the cultural life and the development urban landscape of Thessaloniki.
• Art Express: ringing together 30 youth workers, trainers, facilitators, visual artists and art educators, Art Express is a training course that demonstrates how visual arts can be used as a learning tool in youth work. The training course provides participants with knowledge of how to use different mediums of art in their training methods including stop motion animation, story telling, pixilation and filming by using non-formal learning methods. Theoretical and technical expertise is shared by trainers who specialise in visual arts education.
• Fair NEXT STEP: Fair for Voluntary work, Traineeship and Internships in Germany and abroad
• DOCPIE - Democratic Ownership and Civic Participation in Europe: DOCPIE project focuses on the low public interest on EU politics and democratic procedures by addressing the separate elements necessary for democratic participation: more education on EU, enhancement of active citizenship, nurture of the notion of European identity and creation of inclusive and cooperative societies.
• Gedenken in Dresden: On the occasion of the commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the bombing on Dresden, the Jugend- & Kulturprojekt e.V. organises the conference GEDENKEN IN DRESDEN (Remembering in Dresden) in cooperation in the Kulturrathaus Dresden on the 14th of February.
• Bridging Generations: Bridging Generations is an-eighteen-month project (October 2014 – March 2016) within the framework of the Europe for Citizens Programme, under Strand 1: European Remembrance. The project seeks to raise awareness of remembrance, common history and values. It also seeks to promote European citizenship by bridging the gap between generations and involving them in an intergenerational and intercultural dialogue.
