Sobre nosotros

Sahkar Social Welfare Association (SSWA) is a voluntary organization which dedicates its work to the social uplift of the poor, especially from rural areas. SSWA was founded in 1994 by a group of community workers interested in the improvement of the standard of life of the disadvantaged sections of society, particularly the rural masses, through a variety of socio-economic services.

The NGO is involved in the socio-economic development activities, on a self-help and participatory basis, particularly in the areas of:
• Education
• Health, HIV/AIDS
• Against drugs and corruption, poverty
• Against religious extremism, torture through multidisciplinary approach
• Peace, equality and social justice
• Environment, rural & agriculture development
• and others with emphasis on child welfare, women & youth development
• Human rights, minority rights etc.

Vision:
SSWA efforts contribute to a world which recognizes, respects, and values the socioeconomic, political, legal and environmental aspirations of marginalized and vulnerable communities, particularly women and children, on an equality basis that promotes a sustainable, equitable prosperous and peaceful society.

Mission:
SSWA endeavors to empower and improve the quality of life of the marginalized and vulnerable communities in the least developed parts of the country through welfare, participatory research and development, capacity building, promotion of best practices and partnership building, advocacy, and by launching sustainable and replicable innovative projects.

Activities:
SSWAL organizes training courses and strategy development workshops for rural workers and their trainers. Their work is also aimed at imposing programmes for rural women´s development to eradicate the hazards of child labor and to initiate a drive against narcotics and drug

Riaz Husaain Chandio is the General Secretary of the Sahkar Social Welfare Association (SSWA).

For other net participants we can offer overnight facilities. Also we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
