Sobre nosotros

The Maharashtra State Women´s Council (MSWC), founded in 1919, is committed to facilitating social change and the creation of a civic culture.
The Council which was founded with the primary aim of mutual help and service to others, carries forward in every way the interests and advancement of underprivileged women and children and attempts to re-integrate them into the folds of society, thereby creating in them an acceptance of the responsibilities of citizenship. In over 90 years of its existence, the council has had an impact on the lives of well over 100,000 individuals in dire need of help and support and the endeavour continues as vigorously as ever.
The Council fulfills diverse social and medical needs of marginalised women and children through rescue, rehabilitation and restoration.

Maharashtra State Women´s Council, a non-governmental organisation has over 14 projects, self created agencies and groups through which it seeks to achieve its objectives. The projects vary considerably in content and the people they target. They range from full-fledged residential institutions for destitute women and children to special programmes for the physically challenged and aged.
