Sobre nosotros
The association "Women for Women in Conflict and Violence Situations e.V." is the sponsoring body of the counseling and intervention centers for domestic violence FRAUENRAUM in Berlin-Mitte and TARA in Berlin-Schöneberg.
It is the goal of the association “Women for Women in Conflict and Violence Situations e.V.“ to offer counseling and support to women and their children in their current situation on the one hand. On the other hand the association wants to effect change on a legal and societal basis that prevents violence against women and children through broad public relations and committee work. Frauenraum - situated in Berlin Mitte (Central Berlin) - and TARA - situated in Berlin Schöneberg - are part of the "Frauen für Frauen in Konflikt- und Gewaltsituationen e.V." association.
The association "Frauen für Frauen in Konflikt- und Gewaltsituationen e.V." is a member of berliner frauen netzwerk (bfn).
For whom is Frauenraum?
For women, who
• experience or experienced physical and/or psychological violence in their marriage or relationship
• are being threatened, harassed and/or persecuted (stalking)
• had a police operation because of domestic violence
• are in need of protection, information and support
• seek further support after having been in women's shelter or other protection facilities
For relatives and acquaintances, who
• are confronted with domestic violence in their close surrounding and want to receive information and advice
For institutions, authorities and offices, who
• need information concerning the issue of violence against women and are searching for ways to support women who are affected by violence and their children
Offering: All offers are anonymous and for free.
Counseling
• by telephone and face-to-face
• support during the process of clarifying the current situation
• emotional relief and the possibility to rethink the own situation in peace
Information and support concerning
• Personal Protection Orders
• applications according to the right to protection from violence, e.g. allocation of the lodging, protective order
• filing charges and criminal procedures
• legal and financial questions, e.g.:
• custody and visitation rights
• divorce law and right to alimony
• unemployment benefit II
• right of residence
Procurement to
• women’s shelters and sheltered accommodations
• authorities and other social facilities
• special and continuative facilities
For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
