Qui sommes-nous

At the beginning of 2008, eight dedicated people got together under the motto
"We should not be unhappy when we see the suffering of others. Rather we should react with courage and decisiveness. That is true compassion”. (Dalai Lama)
and the association Ushirika was founded on 11th April 2008.

Baraka is our Kenyan partner association, with the objective of initiating and following up various development projects.

Project: The building of a technical school in Msulwa, Kenya. The building is to be used mainly for training school leavers who are without academic prospects.

The following trades are to be learned within 24 months: bricklayer, electrician, mechanic, joiner, beekeeper, tailor and farmer.

On request we can offer other net participants a presentation, and we can provide up-to-date contacts in the field of collaborative development work.
