Qui sommes-nous

Tanzania Life Project, founded in 2005, is a certified 501(c)(3) charitable organization that is dedicated to helping the poor people of small villages in Tanzania, Africa, to develop a better quality of life, and to reach a point of self sustenance.
Our success comes from empowering the villagers to help themselves, providing experienced mentors to educate and work cooperatively with them and keep the size of our projects within the means of our support.
We work in partnership with village leaders to provide water as the basis for greater health and prosperity. We help educate leaders on how to become self-sufficient in managing these new resources and leveraging them to create greater economic and social growth.
Our goal is to help 5 villages achieve this greater quality of life in the next 10 years. An important part of the success of our program is the “follow-up-reviews” we do with the village leaders responsible for the ongoing / self-sustaining operation of each program.

In our short history, we have helped Tanzanian villagers do the following to address crucial basic needs:
• Implement wells for drinking water
• Support development of small businesses to generate income
• Promote Women’s Rights education to change cultural norms preventing social growth
• Team with Abbott Fund to treat HIV/AIDS victims and orphans of victims
