Qui sommes-nous
Children Companion Organization is a Multi-Sectorial Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) registered to operate at a National level in Tanzania Mainland with its main offices at Monduli District, Arusha Tanzania. It is autonomous, non-partisan, non-religious and non-political organization based on non-profit making, voluntary and social works. It was established in 2018 and came to be fully registered in the midst of 2019.
Originally founded a year ago by a group of passionate youth volunteers, the group started while we were working under humanitarian settings, in Nduta, Mtendeli and Nyarugusu Refugee Camps in Kigoma, Tanzania, working with Danish Refugee Council in several projects such as Youth and Livelihood Programming, Education and General Food Distribution as Project Implementer’s in partnership with UNHCR and WFP.

Our mission is to promote protection of children’s rights towards development.
Children Companion Organization aims to provide the conditions, training and resources needed for the physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual well-being of children affected by the negative influences of child maltreatment. These necessary basic resources include food, clean water, sanitation, education, medicine, and physical and emotional security.
What we do
• Awareness programs on child rights: Protection of children’s rights and expanding their opportunities to reach their full potential as well as improving community understanding of issues relating to child rights. We provide the conditions, training and resources needed for the physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual well-being of children affected by the negative influences of child maltreatment. These necessary basic resources include food, clean water, sanitation, education, medicine, and physical and emotional security.
• Youth Empowerment: To empower, promote, defend and advocate for young people and vulnerable group’s rights towards development and informed choices. To improve community understanding on how families, schools, community itself and peer groups influence young people’s behavior in terms of school performance, mental health and substance use.
Josiah Katabaro is the Executive Secretary of Children Companion Organization.
For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
