Gate Foundation Ghana was founded by P.D & J.K.N in May 2013 at Ankaful in Cape Coast –Ghana. These two Ghanaians after thorough research and studies decided to provide a solution to bridge the gap that exists between the privileged and underprivileged in the Ghanaian society.
They observed that the gap that exists between the rich and the poor, the privileged and the underprivileged is as a result of high illiteracy rate in Ghanaian societies, lack of knowledge in ICT in the rural areas, neglecting of family members due to circumstances beyond their control such as disease, physical and mental disabilities, selfish attitudes among some classes of people and unequal distribution of national cake.
However, upon participation in several international seminars, conferences and human resources empowerment programs as national delegates, the founders of gfg decided to provide a solution to help solve these social problems in Ghana. After consulting most of the international organisations such World Health Organisation (W.H.O), I.L.E.P of which Jackson is a prominent figure, the founders finally in May 2013 decided to tackle these national problems through education and health.

The vision of Gate Foundation Ghana is to make underprivileged young people independent and make quality medical care accessible to the poor and the aged.

Our work
Health services and ICT education are the major components (left wing and right wing respectively) and bed rock upon which the foundation was established. This is to emphasize the belief of gfg which is: ICT is the most important tool for educational enhancement the key to national development.
Since its establishment, gfg’s right wing in charge of ICT has trained about seventy young people in ICT free of charge. As a mouth piece of the poor and underprivileged, the facility has helped some youth in job acquisition and currently some beneficiaries through lobbying between CEO and the youth employment initiative by the government of Ghana are working in the health service (as health assistant) and the security sector (as prison service personals). Also some rural areas in selected districts such as K.E.E.A have received a lot of benefits from gfg in terms of ICT training.
This initiative have had a positive impacts on the lives of the beneficiaries by giving them good jobs and helping others advancing in education since they are able to compete with their counterpart from other high schools in the cities by the use of ICT.
The left wing of the foundation is the health department. The health department is made up of competent professional health providers responsible for generating solutions to help solve the health problems in rural areas in Ghana. Over the years gfg has focused in ICT literacy but the facility has seen a new phase in 2016 as the health division of the foundation begins to conduct its pilot program. Hence free medical.
Screening and consultation plan has being drawn to be implemented in September 2016. This is to provide quality health services to some selected rural areas Cape Coast. This life saving program is now in the pipeline by the exclusive expertise of the secretary and the director of the health department of gfg Anthony Davies. This exclusively ineffable program is aimed at delivering quality health care free of charge to the selected rural communities as part of the foundations social responsibilities.
Last but not the least, gfg has established scholarship schemes in ICT training, outlined policies that will make the foundation responsible for reuniting family members who have been neglected due to sickness especially those affected by Hansen’s disease also called leprosy, be an advocate to sensitise the public in creating awareness that it isn’t their fault to be affected by this disease, mental health advocate, creating awareness to help eradicate tropical diseases such as elephantiasis and home visit of the sick and the aged population.
