Qui sommes-nous
St James Foundation is a non-profit organization headquartered in Sub-Saharan Africa; Uganda that aims to improve lives of the vulnerable poor through Quality Health and education, improve incomes through agricultural trainings and micro-loans, as we promote good enviromental practices to mitigate impact of climate change. We are passionate about what we do and are here to create a better tomorrow.
Core Areas:
• Support vulnerable children, youth and mothers have quality health through fighting malnutrition, malaria prevalence, sensitization about HIV/AIDS and Covid-19 awareness.
• Education of poor children. We aim to equip vulnerable children with an education through skilling and scholarships.
• Microfinance encouraging savings and extending micro loans to the under privileged especially women and youth.
• Improving household incomes through agricultural activities by providing advisory and extension services (information) to the last mile small holder farmers, market, and financial linkages through a farmer call center.
• To undo the effects of climate change by promoting planting of fruit trees and cash crops.

Projects:
• Environmental conservation - Agronomy services: We worked with over 10,000 farmers through a farmers call center. Planted fruit trees in kyamaganda. We launched a campaign to plant fruit trees and cash crops to promote environmental conservation, nutrition and household incomes.
• Relief Items - Relief Aid for Refugees from South Sudan: We have provided relief aid for refugees from South Sudan in BIDI-BIDI Refugee settlement that included providing of food items and clothing.
• Free medical services: We conducted free medical services like consultations, test, diagnosis and management of common illnesses, referral, and linkages for better care.
• Nutrition Health and Counselling: We conducted outreaches in Nebbi, Uganda to fight malnutrition and sensitize mothers on nutritional needs of children. The project involved teaching care givers how to screen and assess malnutrition.
• Training Youth in Rabbit Farming: We have over the years trained youth in rabbit farming with an aim of improving nutrition, household incomes, rabbits as a source of fertilizer.
John Kiwanuka is the Chief Executive Director of St James Foundation.
For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
