Qui sommes-nous
NourEnergy is the first Muslim-German organization for sustainability and environmental protection. As a non-profit association, we promote the technology of renewable energies. “Nour” means light in arabic and this is our program: We bring “Nour” – Energy with our projects.
It all started in 2010: five students with a passion for renewable energies and sustainability.
The idea: to make a positive contribution to society with their expertise in the field of photovoltaics. The focus: social institutions, which then receive objective and independent advice and voluntary project support.
This thought of the young technicians creates a pioneering movement for environmental protection in Germany.
Our vision is a world in which people live sustainably so that we can maintain a healthy and intact nature for ourselves and for future generations.
Our mission is to realize diverse and ecologically sensible ideas for people and nature.
Our work
• From Education to "EduAction": The knowledge and expertise from the past years give NourEnergy a new twist: we are redefining our educational work and starting with the unique #RamadanPlastic Fasting campaign.
• Light and water for orphans: NourEnergy takes a look at a new target group: organizations that provide development aid. We are planning a photovoltaic system and a solar-powered water fountain for an orphanage in Kabul. The orphans now have constant access to electricity and water.
• NourEnergy worldwide: Today we provide: Technical development aid, inspiring seminars and workshops, sustainability advice for organizations and unique campaigns on a national and international level.
Project:
• GreenIftar: Spurred by a small action against the excessive consumption of plastic during Ramadan, it became a big campaign in 2021. Today, this global movement not only stands for a plastic-free fast, but for a sustainable fast-breaking #GreenIftar overall – with sustainable food, economical water usage, fair consumption, regional economic activity and much more.
For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
