Qui sommes-nous

Kilimanjaro Animal C.R.E.W. is a Non Governmental Organization and non-profit making (established under Section 12 (2) of Act No. 24 of 2002, of the Laws of The United Republic of Tanzania, bearing a certificate of compliance No.NGO/00007782 and with physical address at Makoa Farm). Kilimanjaro Animal C.R.E.W. is an organization for people that strive for change, for wildlife and nature and also for those living in unfortunate circumstances
We promote a greater understanding of wildlife by creating a generation of informed and compassionate youth who will lead Tanzania to a more sustainable future for wildlife, the environment and the community.

Our mission:
• To promote a greater understanding of wildlife by educating today’s generation of children about living in harmony with wildlife and our natural world, leading Tanzania into a more sustainable future.
• To mitigate negative effects of Wildlife-Human Conflict and raise awareness for conservation through the activities such aswWildlife rescue, treatment, rearing, rehabilitation and release back into the wild.

Projects:
• Bush School: We firmly believe that any conservation initiative has to go hand-in-hand with education and awareness programs to enable any real impact in the long run. It is our vision to create a generation of informed and compassionate youth who will lead Tanzania to a more sustainable future for wildlife, the environment and the community. Correspondingly, we envision Kilimanjaro Animal C.R.E.W. as a leading center for advanced veterinary services in Tanzania, as well as the best location to learn about wildlife.
• Program for preschool-aged children (Kindergarten): Preschool-aged kids from the neighbouring Machame community visit our Forest Kindergarten six days a week. Apart from conservation and sustainability, we teach some essential skills, such as reading, writing and English. We also provide the kids with breakfast at our school.
• Programs for the school kids and clubs: We offer various day programs for students (and adults) of all ages and aim to reach as many people as possible.
• Wildlife Rescues: Rescuing orphaned or hurt animals and rehabilitating them before releasing them into a protected environment. This is one of Kilimanjaro Animal C.R.E.W.’s biggest mission.
• Animal Clinic: Whether a little squirrel, an adult elephant, a cow or a much loved pet of whichever size, this is THE place where any animal will get the best possible help. Neutering campaigns are done here, routine every day treatment of sick or injured animals, as well as treatment of wildlife species
• Training of tracker dog
• Educational Tours: Educating today’s generation of children about living in harmony with the wild creatures of our natural world, leading Tanzania into a more sustainable future. We offer daily educational tours around our Center under the guidance of one our very knowledgeable animal caretakers who can give you all the details and fun facts of the animals under our care, whether permanent or temporary.
