Qui sommes-nous
In November 2007, the non-profit association Kaule e.V. "Society for socially sustainable agriculture projects" was founded with the intention to promote agricultural projects in developing countries. The association´s name comes from the pilot project of the Association, which was carried out in a little nepalesian village called Kaule.
The association offers aid to self-help, about
• ecological and social economic planning,
• equipment - such as support staff,
• scientific monitoring and knowledge transfer,
• as well as partnership projects with other supporters.
Our work
• Kaule e.V. actively seeks cooperation with other existing projects and organizations, each working on-site in similar or complementary areas.
• The evaluation on the basis of scientific documentation regarding the ecological and social business development goals is also a key project area of the association. Thus, we add a stable network of help for the local farmers.
• Our goal is the support of socially sustainable agro-Projects in developing countries. Here, the association focuses on the social, economical and ecological aspects of such projects.
• Sustainability refers to the conservation of resources in order to guarantee the preservation of a system for the benefit of following generations. With this in mind we want to offer the participating farmers materials and knowledge, which they can pass on to neighbours and surrounding communities.
• Support for the association is carried out by means of financial promotion of on-site information, awareness training, and collecting donations in Germany.
Projects:
Project Kaule, Nepal: Provision of training and support to farmers in Kaule, Nepal in order to help transition from common terrace farming to agroforestry. agroforestry is a form of land cultivation where crops are cultivated in one-year cycles and are grown among trees, whose growth cycle goes over many years. An agroforestry farm hence cultivates a variety of plants with different growth cycles and which optimizes the soil.
