Rural Women Foundation for Community Development (RWOFCD) is an indigenous Non-Governmental and Not-for-Profit Making Organization established in 2016 by women and some men of different backgrounds and professions with a goal of responding to the plight of the most marginalized, unfortunate and vulnerable groups of people especially Women, Children, Adolescent Girls, Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVCs) and the Youth in the rural communities of Kasese District, Uganda and beyond helping them realize their full potential through innovative thinking, planning, implementation and Proactive ‘’Grass-Roots’’ actions Using Human Rights Approach to Programming. RWOFCD ensures innovation is pivotal to development where local change actors are in the right position to ensure adaptation of tested knowledge and skills is transformed into actions for vulnerable beneficiaries and community members to live a happy, healthy, literate and economically productive lives through Health Rights Promotion, Sustainable Agriculture, Skills Development and Education Promotion.

To create a lasting innovative solutions to poor health, ultra poverty, and social injustice for sustainable development.
Programs:
• Health Promotion: Supply mama Kits to vulnerable young mothers, conducting health/medical camps in marginalized communities (cervic and breast cancer screening, eye care and support, blood pressure and diabetes, tooth care and support while offering referals where neccessary, Training in and out of school adolescents and young mothers to make reusable sanitary pads, how to manage their pre and post menstrual cycles and trauma plus feminine hygiene trainings, sensitize and conduct immunization outreaches & other health education classes including good breastfeeding practices and adoptaion of dieatry behavior. Support and Construct immunization facilities in the most marginalized and had to reach communities/areas.
• Skills Development: RWO engages women and girls, OVCs and Youth in a wide range of skills development activities in Rwenzori region, Kasese District - Uganda for example, Tailoring and Fashion design trainings and tailored clothes, Shoe making trainings and production, Organic soap trainings, making and production, Carpentry and Joinery trainings, train and empower all program beneficiaries in entrepreneural skills and financial management to ensure value for resources.
• Sustainable Agriculture: Train vulnerable young mothers and smallholder farmers in regenerative agriculture or Permaculture to fight against malnutrtion, hunger, climate change risks,while supporting Biodiversity and Ecosystems,support identified beneficiaries with agro-inputs and Garden tools, train and support widows and single parents in bee farming as medicine, food and income generating sources. Train elderly and people with disabilities in piggery farming as a source of incomes for improved livelihoods.
• Education: Support marginalized school going children with scholastic materials like books, pens, backpacks, and also support vulnerable super bright learners/students with simple bursaries and scholarships to persue their carrier and complete education. Support and Construct manageable schools in marginalized communities with no access to education facilities.

For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
