Qui sommes-nous

Indira Charitable Trust (ICT) is a non-profit, non-political, non-religious, non-government organization (NGO) based in Chennai. ICT came into existence on 10th May 2016 by Mr.R.Ruban Ponraj, with the vision of providing charitable services to the needy.

Our Mission
We are dedicated to uplift the underprivileged people. We believe that all people deserve equal opportunity, and every person has a right to live a better life. We educate, feed and provide medicines, clothes.

Our Vision
Our Vision is "DESTROY POVERTY" and performs selfless service beyond manmade barriers of religion, caste, race, class, gender etc. The larger purpose of Indira Charitable Trust is to create peace and non-violence in the world.

We strive to fulfill our vision of "Destroy Poverty" and help destitute men, women, and children to lead a basic life through our projects.
• Educate a girl: ICT connects girl children who are not able to continue with their education because of financial crunch with donors/volunteers who can support educational expenses. At present we provide scholarships to girls of single parents.
• Food for the hungry: ICT has started the initiative to help provide meals to men, women and children, who live their lives on the street without having access to a single meal for the day. Every weekend food is prepared, packed and distributed in and around greater Chennai area.
• Medicine for the ill: We call for volunteers who have surplus medical products which are unused, unexpired to donate them, which can be used to treat people with less access to medicinal facilities. We at Indira Charitable Trust try to bring in and connect with people to develop a medicine bank for the needy.
• Cover the naked: The clothing donations make a big difference to individuals who are struggling to have them covered.
• Arise of Tribal: We encourage every tribal member to seize the opportunity for education, as it opens doors to a world of possibilities and ensures a legacy of resilience and prosperity for generations to come. Moreover, we advocate for tribes to actively participate in government initiatives that provide essential support. Obtaining government-issued identification, securing reliable sources for food and clothing, and understanding the mechanisms of healthcare, sex education, and marriage registration are pivotal steps toward securing a better quality of life. By integrating into government frameworks, tribal communities can access the resources designed to uplift and safeguard their well-being. We, as an NGO, stand ready to assist and guide in this transformative journey, emphasizing that every tribal individual deserves to enjoy the benefits of education and governmental support, ensuring a future of dignity, health, and prosperity.
