Qui sommes-nous

Enlighten Hope Ministries (EHM), registered in March 2025, is a faith-based, community-rooted organization driven by a deep compassion for the vulnerable and marginalized in Uganda. We are committed to serving at the very heart of need where pain is felt most and hope often fades.

Our Mission
The mission of EHM is to empower youths and children to acquire education in the community and reduce illiteracy, through education, child development and services to marginalized and unprivileged children and girls in the country.

Our Objectives
• To Promote education through child sponsorship and skills enhancement to ensure a bright future.
• To promote social transformation of the standard of living of children through Christian character development and behavior change.
• Create awareness and information dissemination on diseases and sexually transmitted infections so that we guide on health lifestyles, nutrition, hygiene and sanitation and HIV/AIDS prevention among children, youth, men, the elderly and communities.
• To improve childcare and promote child protection rights and advocacy for children who have been traumatized, raped, neglected and abused through domestic violence and gender-based violence.
• To provide relevant information that will empower the community to make informed choices about health living through trauma healing training and wise choices for life training for children and teenagers.
• Promote skills development among youths and children through tailoring, knitting, weaving and basic hand skills and practicability to improve their lives.

Our programs:
• Child Nutrition & Wellness Program: Daily nutritious meals for malnourished children; Daily nutritious meals for malnourished children; Regular medical screening and referrals for children; Parental training sessions on best practices in child feeding, hygiene, food preparation, and sanitation.
• Elderly Care & Comfort Program: Provision of mattresses, blankets, and essential bedding items to improve their comfort and sleep; Monthly food packages and hygiene supplies; Spiritual care and psychosocial support; Home visits by caregivers and volunteers who provide both assistance and companionship.
• Women Empowerment & Livelihood Support: Skills training programs in soap making, tailoring, weaving, agriculture, and other market-relevant vocations; Start-up toolkits and small grants to help women launch their own micro-enterprises; Formation of savings and credit groups to enable financial independence and group support; Counselling services and trauma healing sessions for women who have experienced abuse, neglect, or domestic violence.
• Youth Skills & Employment Initiative: Vocational training in trades like carpentry, hairdressing, motor mechanics, tailoring, agriculture, and digital literacy; Internships and apprenticeships with local businesses and mentors Entrepreneurship and financial literacy workshops to help youth start their own income-generating activities; Life-skills mentorship, peer education, and Christian discipleship to promote responsible decision-making, integrity, and purpose.
• Tuberculosis, Leprosy, STIs/STDs & HIV/AIDs: We are on a mission to eliminate Tuberculosis, Leprosy, and other preventable diseases by 2030 through active case finding, treatment, and community empowerment. Our work combines health education, advocacy, and survivor support to ensure no one is left behind. We fight stigma, promote compassion, and bring together organizations to create a united, inclusive response.

Arnold Ayazika is the Director of Enlighten Hope Ministries (EHM).

For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
