Tajaf Foundation is a Non Governmental Organisation registered in 2004. It has since been operating in two districts in the eastern region of Ghana.

Mission
Tajaf Foundation seeks to promote the health needs of the youth, reintegrates those excluded socially into mainstream society and building their capacities towards self sufficiency and a greater future.

Aims and Objectives:
• To fight against the spread of HIV and AIDs, Malaria and Tuberculosis.
• Work towards reduction in Maternal Mortality by encouraging family planning among couples.
• Fight against child abuse, genital mutilation and child labour.
• To promote vocational skills among the under privileged in society.
• To create awareness on deforestation and environmental pollution.
• To promote good governance. Tajaf Foundation seeks to promote the health needs of the youth, reintegrates those excluded socially into mainstream society and building their capacities towards self sufficiency and a greater future.

Projects:
• HIV and AIDs activities implemented by TAJAF Foundation: House to house education on HIV and AIDs/Film Show/ Holding of radio programmes/Engagement with organized groups on HIV and AIDs education/Sensitization on stigma reduction/Condom distribution/Holding Durbars/Counseling and Testing.
• Malaria: Tajaf Foundation was awarded a contract by the Malaria Control Programme Global Fund- Ghana in April 2012, to implement Malaria activities in 15 communities in the Suhum Municipalit
• Tuberculosis: Tajaf Foundation has identified the following as the way forward in tuberculosis mitigation and prevention;
• Education and awareness about TB be widened, deepen and be more visible at all public places, to help minimize common operational constraints in case detection and management/Targeted education and training should also be given chemical sellers, traditional ´doctors´ and healing/ prayer camp operators to identify TB symptons for early referal to health centres for diagnosis and treatment.
• Maternal Health: Tajaf Foundation, in its bid to ensure maternal death free society and also reduce the incidence of child mortality in the rural communities, carried out a four day house to house sensitization exercise among women. The objective was to create awareness among women on the possible causes of maternal deaths, infant mortality and how to prevent or limit its occurance.
• Poverty reduction: One of the major points of reference was to target beneficiaries of the poor and facilitate the process of cash and non- cash transfers to them. Whilst some of the selected beneficiaries were given direct cash transfers, some were given skill training and others were also given basic educational support.
