Youth and Community Rehabilitation (YCR)

Qui sommes-nous

The Youth and Community Rehabilitation (YCR) is a voluntary organization established by a group of young people who committed towards addressing the issues of health for all and fight against poverty, related problems such as HIV/AIDS, juvenile delinquency and poverty among young people as well as social exclusion.

The organization was introduced for the first time in Tanzania early 2011 as a Non-governmental Organization, which is voluntarily established, non-political and is a body corporate with a common seal and perpetual succession, capable of suing and being sued, acquiring property and disposing of the same.

Our work:
To build the capacity of different groups in the community especially children and young people in fighting drug abuse and other related problems such as HIV/AIDS, juvenile delinquency, poverty, through community awareness creation, provision of education and information and counseling and rehabilitation services to the affected people and their families.

Projects:
• Voluntary project in Harm Reduction to people using drugs, IDUs, MSM and CSW.

Alex Chitawala is the Chairman of the Youth and Community Rehabilitation (YCR).

For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
